Sculpted Paper Buffalo
As with most of my Art, the Process is as much of the Art as the end results.
My sculpted Paper Pieces are a perfect example of that. I Hope you enjoy the unique look, textures and shadows that my multiple step process enables me to generate. I have incorporated small pieces of the prairie (grass, flowers, clay pigments, leaves, etc.) within each one-of-a-kind piece. My hope is to capture a small piece of the Earth’s energy in each creation.

The Process:
This was my first Clay mold piece, I carved it into negative space which was extremely hard to wrap my brain around. ( I dont think I will be using this process again )
Sculpt a negative clay image and fire . Create/Make paper pulp and press into negative fired clay mold. Incorporate something natural from the plains and prairies. Dye stain paper with natural organic pigments
